No. Groups are small, and getting something wrong is treated as part of learning, not something to be embarrassed about. The teacher sees each child's working on screen as they go, so they can help quietly without singling anyone out.

Your child joins a real class for about half an hour, then sits a short diagnostic assessment. It shows what they are confident with and where the gaps are, and we go through the results with you afterwards.

We place each child by year group and ability, and the diagnostic checks it. If the pace turns out wrong, we move them to another class, or to the year above or below if that suits them better. We always agree it with you first, and moving never costs anything.

Every Tugo teacher is PGCE-qualified, holds an enhanced DBS check and is trained in the Tugo Method. In every lesson they are helped by our teaching assistant software, which checks your child's work as they go.

Tell us what would suit. If we open a class at one of those times, you'll hear first.

A laptop, desktop or tablet with a camera, microphone and speakers, and a reliable internet connection. A phone screen is too small to follow the work. A stylus helps but isn't essential.

With a joining link we email you before the lesson. It is for your child only, so please don't share it.

Everything from the lesson stays in our online classroom, so your child can go back through it in their own time. A group class runs whether or not everyone can make it, so we can't refund or rearrange a missed lesson.

After the free lesson we go through the diagnostic results with you. Once your child has joined, you get a written progress report every half term.

No, and we don't ask for card details to book it. If your child wants to carry on, you can choose a plan straight after booking, or after the lesson.

Monthly is £100 a month, which works out at £25 a lesson. We never take a monthly payment in July or August.

Termly is £22.50 a lesson and annual is £20 a lesson, paid up front for the lessons left in the term or the school year. In the last seven weeks of the autumn or spring term, termly covers the next term too.

If you choose monthly when you book, nothing is taken until the day before your child's second lesson. Termly and annual are paid when you buy, and start from the lesson after the free one.

Stop a monthly plan any time in your hub and nothing more is taken. Stop it before the first payment and you pay nothing at all.
